Effective December 28, 2018, the New Mexico Construction Industries Division (CID) will no longer perform “Electrical Wiring” inspections for oil and gas locations requiring electric service.

Lea County Electric will not be able to establish service at such locations without the necessary permits and inspections. A Statement of Fact Contractor Certificate must be completed and signed by a New Mexico State Licensed Electrical Contractor and a National Qualified Electrical Inspector. Electrical Contractor and Electrical Inspector may not be the same person. The completed form must be emailed to sysops@lcecnet.com, before service is connected at an oil and gas location.
